Redbull Racing looking likely to keep same driver lineup aswell as sister team VCARB for 2026

Formula 1 team Redbull Racing are widely known for their ruthless driver changes over the years and if a driver is underperforming, they will be easily replaced with the phrase "anyone is replaceable" living up to expectation, even in the peak of motorsport.

In 2025, Redbull were at it again and within 2 races Liam Lawson was replaced by VCARB driver Yuki Tsunoda just before Tsunoda's home race in Suzuka , Japan with Lawson returning to the sister team. Liam, who finished 20th and last in both Chinese sprint qualifying and main Grand Prix qualifying was believed to have been "mentally struggling" with the Redbull car according to Rebull mechanics which is famously rumoured to be built around the 4x World Champion Max Verstappen who also has a very aggressive driving style which any other driver cannot match on the grid.

Since the Japanese Grand Prix back in April, Redbull and VCARB have kept the same driver lineup with Verstappen and Tsunoda in the Redbull and Lawson and Isack Hadjar in the VCARB who has been a standout talent in his rookie season scoring 22 points, 2 more than his teammate.

Lawson joins a fairly sized list of Redbull talents who have been churned up and spat out by the team. He joins names like Daniel Kvyat, Pierre Gasly, Alex Albon, Daniel Riccardo and possibly Tsunoda in the future with F2 talent and British 18 year old Arvid Lindblad, who has made statements in the feeder series being the youngest winner ever with a sprint win back in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Although Lindblad looks destined for F1, Redbull with new team principal Laurent Mekies, who is a polar opposite to recently sacked, 2 decade serving team principal Christian Horner may be looking to create stability and control within the organization after setback, after setback like the loss of chief designer Adrian Newey who left for Aston Martin and sporting director Johnathan Wheatley who departed to join Sauber who will become Audi in 2026.
