Cadillac Reveal 2026 driver lineup

The Cadillac Formula 1 team have announced their drivers for the 2026 season on Tuesday the 26th of August, just a few days ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort.

The American based outfit and 11th team added to the paddock have put together a solid lineup of current Mercedes and Mclaren reserve/test driver and Finnish 10x Formula 1 winner Valtteri Bottas and 6x Mexican race winner Sergio Perez who concluded his time at Redbull at the end of 2024.

Cadillac, who are taking Ferrari engines until 2028 where General Motors will look to build their own, are looking for a steady first season and with two calm and experienced heads on board that will help them with greater and more accurate technical feedback to help the team pursue a way to the top in the years to come.

Although there was lots of rumours and chat about potentially bringing in a rookie instead, Cadillac have chosen experience.

Both drivers have reportedly signed a multi year deal which gives stability and comfort in the organisation to now fully focus on the 2026 regulations as they seem to be getting more and more confusing ; a big job on the FIA's hands to get it right.

Cadillac are not expected to be relatively competitive in 2026 but are ready to make their statement and write their own story in the peak of motorsport.
