Colton Herta update on possible future in F1

Cadillac F1 Team have announced that Colton Herta - current Indy Car driver sitting P6 in the standings with 2 poles and 5 top 5 finishes - will officially be the teams reserve and test driver for 2026.

As reported previously, Herta is expected to be a Formula 2 driver next season with the objective to secure enough Super License points to be eligible for an F1 entry in 2027.

Cadillac F1 still have medium term ambitions for an American driver in their team and some Fp1 sessions will boost his Super License points and increase his chances of being in F1 full-time.
